You can never have too many cell phones…. or keys….

January 16th, 2007

new keys and phoneFurthering Lil’ Duck’s belief that Christmas and birthday gifts arrive at least once a week, a late Christmas present brought him a new set of keys and a cell phone that takes “photos” - or at least flashes when you press the photo button. Of course, he was most enamored with the $1 popping things….

He does indeed love cell phones and keys, though nothing is quite as good as Mommy’s and Daddy’s, as those actually call real people (though he does a lot of pretend conversations on his cell phones). In fact, he has our phones all figured out, to where he uses the speed dial (if you listen closely, you hear the little “push da 3, call Grandma, push da 4, call Uncle _____”), turns the speakerphone on, and adjusts the volume accordingly. Of course, he also hangs up when he decides he’s done, usually in the middle of a conversation….

So, thank you, for the cell phones and keys and other wonderful gifts, as now they have filled my house with noise, clutter and a very happy baby, which is all that matters anyway, right?? Now to clean out those toys…

What is it with kids and cell phones? Baby Bug loves to play with my cell phone but could care less about a toy one. How do they know the difference?

Thank you for sharing this with the Carnival of Family Life.

Kids know what is important to us grown ups and want to be just like us, don’t they?

Girl, you will be glad to have that technical knowledge when the universe moves at warp speed and you need someone to figure out how to program the latest remote.

I love your lil duck stories.

Too cute! I love how he has it all figured out :O) My girls have cell phones that we no longer use… but the grass is always greener on the other cell phone. :O) Here from the Carnival of Blogging Chicks.

They love being little grown-ups with all their little grown-up toys, don’t they? Or is it that we all love being kids with all our toys?! ;)

Kids are so cute, they love to have little things just like their parents (keys seem especially pleasing to the little ones)
