We’re sitting outside, chasing lizards on the lakeside dock, basking in the sunlight, enjoying the warm breeze – and it is December 1st! I’m not sure I’ll ever be used to the warmth and lack of snow, but we did enjoy the walk and fresh air this morning. Lil’ Duck loves to chase the lizards, which he deems to be “sssssssszzzzssssnakes!” that are “hiding (from) me” and runs his little Matchbox car up and down the slats of the dock. The simple pleasures in life, right??
Dropping the car through the slats of the dock? Ooops
Seriously though, as the holidays approach and everyone on the planet wants to shower my DS with toys, I appreciate the simple things too – feeding the ducks, digging in the ground; watching his face light up at the sight of a worm. Thanks for reminding me!

I can’t imagine 80 degrees in December. I like snow, but I also like warm weather.
