Where the toddler is multi-colored….

17

Otherwise titled “When Mommy doesn’t look closely at the markers that Lil’ Duck is using….”

I figured he had his own, WASHABLE, markers out there, he colored all over himself and I really didn’t worry about it, washed his hands and face, brushed his teeth, put him to bed, etc. Now this morning, I get up, put him in the shower with me, and it doesn’t come off. Not even a little bit. Well, the red faded to a BRIGHT pink…..

After further investigation, I find NOT his washable markers, but the very permanent cake decorating markers that he got out of a high cabinet, no idea exactly how…..

I think he’s going to be colorful for quite a while now.

You could always just get a real tatoo to cover it up. Think how cool he’ll be in grade school. Or you could get a duck tatoo. It would be good branding for the website and guarantee that he won’t be a cool kid that gets in tons of trouble in high school.

Oh, how funny! You should post pictures!

And there are no pictures of the grand color scheme?! :)
Sounds like he’s feeling better. Your Starbucks snippet made me laugh. Our Bean goes to Starbucks (with Grannie). Every. Single. Day. She always has a little cup of whipped cream. She draws pictures and they put them up on the wall. She knows them all by name and they certainly know her. Too funny.
And I love the chocolate picture. Too cute! :)

Do you have any make-up remover or Noxema (spelling?) If so try those. My sister was in a play and used stage makeup and UGH what a PITA to remove but we got it off with the Noxema.

  5. You could skip the costume this year and let the little duck color himself for Halloween.

Keep Lil’ Duck out of the sun, too. The skin doesn’t “tan” through permanent marker! He could end up with those squiggles for a lot longer then it takes the marker to wear off! :)

I think Lil Duck is just trying to express his creative genius, and he is looking for interesting media to play with. Don’t stifle this boy’s creativity, Mama Duck! ; )

I hope you don’t find it on any furniture or carpet. I bet he’s cute with his pink doodled legs.

  11. That is a funny picture you’ve painted. It’s amazing how they can make you frustrated and laugh at the same time. It always seems to just take a genuine hug to break the mood.

  12. Wow. I’m so glad that the markers were at your house. My kids have already had too much fun with scissors and vaseline at our house. =)

    Thanks for sharing the laughter!

I posted my wedding picture, because tomorrow is our 25th anniversary!

    Best wishes on removal! LOL

So funny! Now it’s almost as if he were born decades ago…when there were no such thing as “washable markers!”

What did our mothers do? Scrub us, I guess!

Thats awesome! Im the awful mom who takes the pictures before she does anything else when they do stuff like that (Im flashing back to a lipstick incident with my four year old. He’s going to love me when this is displayed at his graduation!) When else can you really get away with being stained several different colors while everyone else thinks its cute?

Well, at least the teeth aren’t red!
