Thirteen Things I wish for this morning!
1. To sleep in for once, and not be awakened at an ungodly hour by a baby poking his sharp fingernails in my eyes and yelling “mama, mama”.
2. For the fully energized baby to clean my entire house, especially picking up all the VHS tapes that he threw all over my living room last night.
3. For a Starbucks in my kitchen, complete with a cute barista, to make me a nice foamy caramel-vanilla latte.
4. For a bit of peace to work on all the things I need to do on the computer without the little one hanging off my arm and screaming “walk, mommy, walk now!”.
5. To go back to bed 
.
6. For a nice hot bubble bath with a bunch of new magazines and peaceful music (no babies allowed!).
7. For DH to have a day off to spend with the little guy (not me, I’m running for the hills!).
8. For a haircut, highlights, eyebrow wax, pedi and mani (ah).
9. For my bedroom to paint itself – all four walls, no “oopsies” or touch-ups required!
10. For my little guy to actually desire to eat something other than soy milk and cookies.
11. To take a shower without him flipping out and climbing my bare leg like a sharp-clawed monkey because he wants to watch TV (I have the scratch marks still ).
12. To go SHOPPING – no, not groceries LOL.
13. For you to realize that I’m really thankful for my little guy and everything we have, I just hope it inspires you to dream of what YOU enjoy .

That’s hilarious that he tells you to walk now. My little guy tells me to wake up. even if you are sitting or laying there with your eyes open…it’s mommy/daddy wake up. If you aren’t playing toys, you must be sleeping!

Mine are much older now and if it helps, you will get sleep someday! There are other issues to replace the lack of sleep, but we won’t go there.
I so miss those days but on the other hand I am very thankful they are no longer mine! Wonderful memories though. I remember Joshua would play for ever by himself until I needed to go to the bathroom. It was so funny!

Been there with my kids too – they grow up too soon though. Some days when I have all the time in the world to do what I want, I wish they were little again.
