Thursday Thirteen
Thirteen Things I wish for this morning!
1. To sleep in for once, and not be awakened at an ungodly hour by a baby poking his sharp fingernails in my eyes and yelling “mama, mama”.
2. For the fully energized baby to clean my entire house, especially picking up all the VHS tapes that he threw all over my living room last night.
3. For a Starbucks in my kitchen, complete with a cute barista, to make me a nice foamy caramel-vanilla latte.
4. For a bit of peace to work on all the things I need to do on the computer without the little one hanging off my arm and screaming “walk, mommy, walk now!”.
5. To go back to bed 
.
6. For a nice hot bubble bath with a bunch of new magazines and peaceful music (no babies allowed!).
7. For DH to have a day off to spend with the little guy (not me, I’m running for the hills!).
8. For a haircut, highlights, eyebrow wax, pedi and mani (ah).
9. For my bedroom to paint itself – all four walls, no “oopsies” or touch-ups required!
10. For my little guy to actually desire to eat something other than soy milk and cookies.
11. To take a shower without him flipping out and climbing my bare leg like a sharp-clawed monkey because he wants to watch TV (I have the scratch marks still ).
12. To go SHOPPING – no, not groceries LOL.
13. For you to realize that I’m really thankful for my little guy and everything we have, I just hope it inspires you to dream of what YOU enjoy .

Thanks so much for the visit! I want so many of these things on the list. How awesome would it be to have a starbucks in the kitchen??? Except I probably would get fat off of chai lattes and coffee cake. Mmmmmm. I could definitely go for a mani/pedi (as well as a professional massage – those are the BEST!) And shopping that’s not grocery shopping? Yes PLEASE!

Oh, I am so glad that my four year old will play by himself. That way I’m able to get up with him on Saturday mornings, feed him, and then I get to go back to sleep! It’s wonderful!!! Just something you can look forward to!

When your hot barista man is done with your latte, can he please make an americano for me? If only I had a fraction of the energy of your little one, I would make my own!

That’s hilarious that he tells you to walk now. My little guy tells me to wake up. even if you are sitting or laying there with your eyes open…it’s mommy/daddy wake up. If you aren’t playing toys, you must be sleeping!

Mine are much older now and if it helps, you will get sleep someday! There are other issues to replace the lack of sleep, but we won’t go there.
I so miss those days but on the other hand I am very thankful they are no longer mine! Wonderful memories though. I remember Joshua would play for ever by himself until I needed to go to the bathroom. It was so funny!

I hear you! Why do men think going grocery shopping is our “me” time? It has nothing to do with “me” unless they’re not planning to eat this week. Great T13 list!

I know these feelings…I have 3 kids…10, 6 and 2…and they take alot of time and attention. And it seems like we don’t ever get to do things for ourselves…and yet I look at Mr. 10 and I can’t believe he is already there…and the others will soon follow. I know you know that too…the days are long, but the weeks seem to fly by…funny how that goes…great list and sign me up for a latte:-)

I think hubby should take the day off and babysit, so you can have a day to yourself – shopping, primping, preening. A girl’s gotta have SOME time to herself……

Sounds close to my list why is it they will poke you and wake ou when daddy is laying right there nooooo they cant poke him nope gotta walk around to my side :O)

You should definitely do some of those things – get the man to take baby while you shop and have coffee.
I can’t wait to have a little booger of my own one day! Athough the clawing will definitely not be fun.

I’m a mommy of 5, so I DO know how you feel. Just tell yourself that this is a temporary situation. My youngest is 6 now, so I am just now getting back to “being me.”
Don’t worry about what he will and won’t eat. It will even out..I promise.
