Lil’ Duck went to bed…. early by our recent experience… at 9:30pm. However, he was back up and cheerfully bouncing around at 11pm. Of course, there is nothing for a 2 year old to watch on TV at that hour, so he wanted Monsters. Yes, over 2 hours of Monsters, complete with “Wow, Mike Wzzzzzzowki”, “Wow, mosters, da-da, mosters, mama, mosters” repeated over and over until we both answer….. then he wanted it “again”…. at 1am, there was nothing I liked more than him sitting and watching it again and NOT bothering me
.
This is not what I wanted to be doing at 2am…

Similar scene here most nights lately with my two-year-old son. Ugh.
Nate does that sometimes too. I’ve started recording on TiVo some of his favorite cartoons. I’ll let him watch one cartoon if its past bedtime then if he wants to watch tv thats fine but we watch one of my shows.
He usually falls asleep pretty quickly because my shows are not as “exciting” as his cartoons.
I like Tonya’s way of doing it. He’ll learn eventually that he’s not in control. Wont that be a shock to his system
Wow, that’s a late night. I feel for you!
oh lordy,.. that scares me! 2am…
will kids ever sleep good?
my son is obessed with Monsters Inc.
He is also 2.
He watches it all the time.
He cant say the word “Monster” though so when he wants to watch that particular movie he says “baby nightnight” because theres kids in beds in the movie hahaha.
Id rather watch this though than barney or elmo!
