Thirteen words (commands??) of the Lil’ Duck for your Thursday
- “Wak!!” – we must walk, always walk, and if we do not walk, our fingers will be pulled from our bodies!
- “Cute!!” – accompanied by a scrunchy-face smile of course.
- “Duuuuucccckkkyyyyy??” – then “wow, ducky!!” with a few kisses once he finds them.
- ” ‘asha?? woof woof (dog-like whines)” – he is convinced that Tasha the dog is his playmate, and can play “kitchen” with him and so forth….
- “Wow!!!” – to just about everything!
- “A payn!”" – in response to “you are a pain, Lil Duck!”
- “Wrain, wow, wrain, wa-wa!” – being born in a hurricane must have made him love the rain…..
- ” ‘ifford da ig ed DOG!!” – Clifford the big red dog of course!!
- “T.V. – backgardigans, mama!”
- “play piano” – always!
- “Uh-oh!!” – always with a cutie face and kisses…..
- “tisses” actually
. - “Mama!! Dada!! Hi!!” – bright and early in the morning, accompanied by baby kisses!!

I always love your blog – but it always make me tired! chasing toddlers… baby kisses are the best! have a great day-
How cute! I must confess that I often have a difficult time understanding babies when they are learning to talk! I have to ask parents for translations!
How cute is this. It reminds me so much of mine, and the little words she uses. Thank you so much for sharing, and thanks for stopping by today!
Very cool blog. I love your layout!
Don’t you just love how kids have their own language. And, mom and dad are the interpreters. Cute List!
thanks for the visit.
It sounds like he is talking pretty well so far(a sentence pretty good!). Wow – he was born during a hurricane! I must have missed that post. Geez – what a way to come into the world with all the “wa-wa” ~ cute little voices!! Adorable!
it is sooo delicious to watch and hear our young ones develop language! very precious list.
thanks for visiting my 13 this week.
Cute blog!!! I liked lil duck duck’s meme too–really cute!
Thanks for visiting mine earlier!
Great post! I love the fact that you have these things recorded for someday when he’s older!!
My TT is up here.
Haha, I love “‘asha” and “Uh-oh”, always cute when kids say Uh oh!
Thanks for stopping by mine.
#13 is cute. I hope he keeps it up till he grows up. It’s nice to see children greeting their parents upon waking up, before going to bed, getting out of the house and coming in from outside.
Thanks for dropping.
Awwwww! Nothing melts my heart like babies and toddlers; they are precious.
I love these! That is the one thing I miss with all our grandkids grown passed that stage. Babies learning to talk and echoing what someone else says is so sweet! My TT is up..
Erm.. fingers pulled…?? Where’d he hear that one!? LOL
Thanks for visiting my TT!
=) i miss that age.
Ah, babytalk! I think that is what I’ll miss the most when my kiddos grow up. My 21 month old daughter, Lydia, has just learned to say “fork.” Except it doesn’t sound like “fork.” It sounds like a VERY BAD WORD. It sound so wrong. I can’t wait until she says it in public among strangers…what will they think?
) Oh well, at least I know what she’s saying!
The little toddler speak is always so cute. I miss that with my kids. They grow up so fast. It’s so neat that you are keeping track of all this for the future. This will be a great keepsake.
