My girls love the Backyardigans CD for dancing too!

We are always listening to The Beatles. I think 60’s music makes great children’s songs. My oldest daughter always asks me to sing “Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini.”

  8. Comment by Maribeth on October 26, 2006 11:58 am

    Wow! Classics!

I love to see children dance to their silly, little songs. My son used to dance to “Do the Tiger” from the Wiggles.

  14. Comment by Kukka-Maria on October 26, 2006 2:38 pm

I love the kiddy hamster songs and then one about happy hour at any time of the day! :) Just wait until he is an adult and tells his therapist all about the music he listened to as a child!

HILARIOUS! I’m going to have to look up some of these tunes.

  15. Comment by Haley-O on October 26, 2006 2:44 pm

Purple People Eater….LOVE! And, anything by the Backyardigans. :) Great list!

  16. Comment by David on October 26, 2006 2:46 pm

Signs (songs) of the times… I can remember my mom putting on her “Classic for Children” records for our enjoyment… Bach, Brahms, Beethoven, Grieg, Prokofiev, Mozart: the hits just kept rolling in. Since TV was pretty much still in growing pains, the record player was muuuuch more interesting for us.

How awful that we missed out on The Hamsterdance Song…

    :-)

  17. Comment by Mrs Lifecruiser on October 26, 2006 3:21 pm

Of course I have to favorize #9 and 13…..*lol*

The Backyardigan’s are great–has lil duck seen Jack’s Big Music Show? It comes on Noggin–awesome for music lovers!

We like to turn on the digital music channels & dance…especially the 80’s channel!

  22. Comment by Cheryl on October 26, 2006 4:44 pm

I can just imagine! How cute! My ankle biters boogie just about every time music is played. They especially enjoy the Wiggles.

  23. Comment by JAM on October 26, 2006 4:45 pm

Such memories you are making for your little duckie!

I love all the baby pics you share.

After seeing the joy expressed in every fiber of his little body as he stood in the surf in the next post…I can almost believe that I just got to experience both #5 & #10 from my TT this week.

    Thanx for visiting

What fun songs! Julia loves the Backyardigans too.

  35. Comment by Brandi on October 27, 2006 8:28 am

I love that you have Barbie Girl on there. I haven’t heard that song in forever! I also think that most daddy’s would feel the way you think your husband will which in turn made me smile! Thanks!

  36. Comment by Julie on October 27, 2006 8:29 am

I love to watch children dance. They have such joyous looks on their faces. My youngest is a Backyardigans fan as well. Truth be told, his older brothers (10 and 8) will also watch…they won’t dance though.

  37. Comment by N. Mallory on October 27, 2006 9:07 am
