Taking the easy way out – his haircut….

Haircut after

We got a lot of great tips on haircutting, which are going to be made into a new post next week, but given the disaster last time, I wasn’t eager to repeat the experience. So, late last night after he finally fell asleep in our bed, I cut his hair (yes, in the semi-darkness, and no, I don’t know how to cut hair). Thankfully, it turned out pretty well – I was prepared to have to use some clippers and cut it short if I messed it up though! The short hairs in front have always been there – he’s just finally growing hair there, I didn’t chop it off in the front ;) .

Don’t forget to check out the brand-new Carnival of the Mundane today as well!

it looks great! Good idea. thankfully my neighboor is a hairdresser and she is speedy quick and does it for free. Can’t get any better than that.

Looks good to me. I cut Nate’s hair at home alot too and trust me I’m not a hair cutter either lol. We did buzz him this last time with the clippers and it looked really cute.

Ick for the hairy sheets lol.

Way to go mom! Your post is making me think how easy it would be for me to do a post on haircutting 101 with tips for toddlers. Wonder if anyone would like that type of tip though?

Great job cutting his hair, it looks adorable.

My 3 year old boy (4 in Dec) screams bloody murder if we take him to the salon. So we bought this shears at Walmart and they work great! Use the 1″ guard and just whip it around the whole head and you got a great child cut and nobody but you hears the screams of “nooooooo don’t cut my hair!” LOL
