1/4 cup mashed potatoes (1 sm. potato)
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 dash salt
1 (1 lb) box powdered sugar
Peanut butter
Mix together all ingredients, except peanut butter. Add sugar until dough consistency. Refrigerate to chill dough for an hour or two. Roll out onto powdered sugar dusted bread board or waxed paper. Spread peanut butter over potato dough. Roll it up like a jelly roll loaf. Refrigerate for about an hour, then slice into pinwheels.
5 cups peeled sliced potatoes
2 cups milk
1.5 cups whipping cream
1 clove garlic minced
1 tsp salt
1.2 tsp pepper
1 tbs butter
1 cup grated fontina cheese ( or any kind really)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Put potatoes in a large pot. Add milk, cream, garlic, salt and pepper.
Bring to boil over medium. Reduce heat to med-low. Simmer for approx. 5 minutes stirring occasionally.
Coat a med baking dish with butter. Add potato mixture. Sprinkle cheese on top.
Bake until golden and set about 40 minutes.
5 or 6 potatoes, sliced thin
1 to 2 cups ham, cubed
1 medium onion, sliced
1 can Cream of… Mushroom or Chicken or Celery soup
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 soup can of milk
Layer one half of the potatoes, ham, and onions in crockpot. Season with salt and pepper then half of the cheese. Add remaining potatoes, ham, onions and cheese. Spread undiluted soup evenly over top so air doesn’t reach the potatoes. Pour milk on top. Sprinkle with paprika. Cover and cook on Low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
3 tsp vegetable oil
1 large onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
6 cups cooked kidney beans, rinsed
2 cups water
3 T chili powder
2 tsp ground cumin
4 tsp prepared mustard
Pinch cayenne pepper
3 T soy sauce
12 (10 inch) flour tortillas, warmed
8 oz shredded Cheddar cheese
4 cups cooked and mashed sweet potatoes
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat oil in a medium skillet. Sauté onion and garlic until soft. Add the beans and mash. Stir in water and heat until warm. Remove from heat and stir in chili powder, cumin, mustard, cayenne pepper, and soy sauce. Divide bean mixture and mashed sweet potatoes evenly between the warm flour tortillas. Top with cheese. Fold up burrito style. Bake for 12 minutes.
