Josh Dorfman is an environmental entrepreneur, author, speaker, and radio personality. He is the founder & CEO of Vivavi, a provider of contemporary, eco-friendly furniture and furnishings, working with over forty of today’s leading sustainable designers. In 2006, he launched ModernGreenLiving.com, Vivavi’s companion resource that helps consumers find green homes and green building experts throughout North America. Inc. Magazine has named Vivavi one of the fifty most intriguing companies helping to drive today’s green revolution.

Josh’s media ventures centered on The Lazy Environmentalist, the environmental talk radio show he had on Lime Radio on Sirius Satellite Radio (Channel 114) for which he was the creator, producer, and host. His book, The Lazy Environmentalist: Your Guide To Easy, Stylish, Green Living, was published in May 2007. Dwell Magazine called it “a guide to going green without resorting to Birkenstocks and brown rice casserole.”

As a green lifestyle expert, Josh has appeared on the Martha Stewart Show as well as on NBC, MSNBC, Bravo, and the Discovery Health Channel. He is the spokesperson for the Filter For Good campaign, a partnership between Brita and Nalgene that encourages consumers to reduce their plastic water bottle waste. He is also a member of the National Advisory Council for the Arts and Environment for the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts .

Organize a bug hunt. Hide lots of plastic bugs, ants, ladybugs, etc, in your yard or party area. Give the kids “bug jars or bags” and tell the kids to find as many as they can in a certain amount of time. The prize is keeping the bugs they find!
