Strawberry pretzel salad

December 26th, 2006

1st layer:
2 cups coarsely chopped pretzels
3/4 cup melted margarine
3 T. sugar

Mix together and bake at 400 degrees for 8 minutes, set aside to cool.

2nd layer:
1 8oz pkg cream cheese
1 cup sugar
2 cups whipped cream (small container)

Beat together and spread over pretzels.

3rd layer:
1 lg (6oz) pkg strawberry jello
1 10ox pkg frozen strawberries
Prepare jello as directed on package (2 cups boiling water), add frozen strawberries, let cool for a few minutes, pour on top of everything else before it thickens and let it chill. Enjoy!

    I have had this same recipe for 16 years. We absolutely love it! I haven’t made it in years, now I will have to. Thanks for reminding me.

    Oh, my gosh. I love this stuff. So much that I had to quit making it a few years ago because I would make it and eat it all before the family even knew about it. Because I wouldn’t share.

    That’s my worst quality. Not sharing. Ever since kindergarten.
