Strawberry pie

March 6th, 2007

1 qt. strawberries
Pie crust
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
3 heaping tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. white Karo syrup
1 pkg. strawberry Jello
1 pkg. whipping cream
On low-medium temperature, mix 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water. Make sure it gets real thick, then add 3 tablespoons cornstarch and 2 tablespoons Karo syrup. Remove from heat. Add strawberry Jello. Let cool.
In pie crust, put layer of berries, layer of mixture, layer of berries, layer of mixture. Top with whipping cream.
