Southern Candied Tomatoes

Southern Candied Tomatoes Recipe:

28 oz can of tomatoes
2 cups cubed white bread
2 T. brown or granulated sugar
2 T. cider vinegar
1 tsp dried basil, optional
Tabasco sauce or pepper, to taste
2 tsp butter or margarine

Cut whole tomatoes into pieces. Combine with bread cubes, sugar, vinegar, basil and Tabasco or pepper in 6-cup casserole dish. Dot with butter and bake in 400F oven until bubbling and light brown (30- 45 minutes). Enjoy!
