I’m so excited! My daughter vomited orange gatorade on my yellow bathroom rug. It was a mess and I really thought I was going to have to throw it away but then I found I couldn’t replace that particular color because they stopped making it. I came to this website and read to use eqaul parts of hot water and ammonia. Spray on stain, transfer with hot iron to a towel. What a charm!!! Thanks for saving my bathrug!

ps a hot iron and newspaper gets out crayon and melted wax on carpets (no liquid), cheaper carpet can lose color, but safe for the most part, test it first Countertops i use comet or bleach and water…depends. Good old fashioned baking soda and lemon sometimes does the trick.

I don’t beleive it….it worked so fast so perfect…I WILL NEVER FEAR RED DRINKS, ICE CREAM, OR CANDIES AGAIN. I have white carpet and a 3 years old…used a thick towel opened (white), hottest setting, 1/2 cup water with 1/2 cup ammonia….. sucked it right out.

I was so upset with my 11 year old for getting red kool aid on the rug. It’s a brand new house. When I read about the towel and the hot iron I thought these people have to be crazy. But I tried everything to get it out. So I thought I have nothing to lose. IT WORKED AWESOME!!!!! You can’t even tell the kook aid was there! Thank you so much.

I just tried Kristen’s ironing technique on several large red kool-aid stains on my family room carpet. The stains were approximately 3 weeks old. It worked like a charm; not a trace of the red stain remains! Thanks for the hot tip, Kristen.

When i was a kid I spilled red koolaid on our new blue carpet. I put a towel down on it and stacked the world book encyclopedia on top of it. One hour later i nervously removed the books and the towel. No stain, no chemicals.
