Hey Mama Duck!
Boo-bear turned two in April and we got some cool stuff! He is just now into his LeapStart LeapPad, and I highly recommend it. After just one or two sittings, he knew that an owl can't see at night and has to turn his head to look at things (he told me that!). It's a great learning to read thing. The laptop thing you have on your list is like the same thing. LeapPad you buy different books to go with it.
Legos! Every kid should have plenty of legos!
Playdoh...Boo bear got some cool things to make with Playdoh.
Your list looks awesome, so I think he will love any of it. :)

I just can't stay away!!

My daughter is turning three tomorrow!!! (just sharing!)

She has this crayole marker board/magnetic board/easel/drawing table thing.....it sounds like several things, but it really is all in one. She can spend hours playing with it being very creative!

The water wheel table was a big hit here. (I just had to get it after seeing Kate's pics!) An abacus sounds fun, we're looking at the word whammer too, even though she thinks throwing her fridge phonics letters at Charlie is fun right now. I think you're brave for wanting the pound-a-ball! LOL
We still have the My First Word Book from the oldest and she loves it (we have the numbers and letters too). I think Lil' Duck would love the kitchen set, you could get him some play food too (although he's too smart to go with that, he wants the real stuff he can dump...) Have fun!

When my son turned 2, my father got him a Rescue Hero - I thought he was too young for it, but he fell in LOVE with that thing...and now at 5 he has a whole tub full of them. But, alas, he is starting to turn towards Pirates now - so the bin of Rescue Heros gets opened up less and less....

My 3 year old has an easel and absolutley loves it! When she was about 1 1/2 to 2 years old we got her something kind of similar to the phonics fridge magnents. It was not spelling though, it was just the letters, and she loved them. She would push the button and sing the songs, and then she very quickly associated letters with words. It was great! Those are wonderful for learning and I highly reccommend it! Hope you find the perfect gifts and lil duck has a wonderful birthday!
