I’m putting him to work!!
November 8th, 2006Meet the newest member of the working community!! He’s 3 feet tall, has more energy than four adults put together and never, ever sleeps. With his excess energy, he is perfect for any cleaning job, regardless of the fact that he destroys more than he cleans. With a shelf full of clean rags right at his level, he can go fetch rags to clean any mess in an instant. For messier tasks, a small spray bottle full of water (with the top screwed on very tightly) is a serious threat in his hands. Other tasks, such as the laundry, require a little help, but he can still push the laundry baskets to the machines, load and unload the dryer, and help put away the clean laundry. Picking up his toys is another task which he can do well if he chooses. Sadly, he is not available for hire at this time….

LOL!! When my middle child was the duck’s age, he loved to help clean. So when we had to move and clean the walls (funky panelling) I gave him a sponge and he went to town! Made his day.
Julia is a cleaner, too. Isn’t great to have a little helper?

Too cute. I’ve been putting Snuggle Bug to work as well. He’s so cute as he “sweeps” the floor with his toddler sized broom.
Sadly they stop wanting to help when they hit a certain age heheheh
Yea! For chores! Once I asked my suburban 1st grade class “who has chores? Of 24 students only two had chores. They were two of the best behaved and most respectful students. Chores may be old fashioned to some nowdays, but I think it’s great!
Swiffer dusters are a great kid friendly cleaning tool. But, watch out for the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Somewhere I read that they can burn kid’s skin.
