Holiday pretzel treats

December 12th, 2006

1 bag of pretzel rods
1 bag of melting wafers–any color, green, red, white?
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
Holiday sprinkles
Put the wafers and oil in a microwave safe bowl. Melt in the microwave for 40 seconds. Take out and stir. Repeat until the chocolate is smooth and creamy.

Dip the pretzels in the chocolate, about halfway up the rod. Leave the lower part dry if you are making it for children (less mess). After you dip the rod, shake off the excess chocolate and roll it in the holiday sprinkles. Let set for an hour or so until they harden a bit, then serve!

I made those for Girlie Girl’s class last year and it was a hit! They especially loved the colorful sprinkles!

I made these for my daughters kindergarten class for their treat bags on Halloween. They really enjoyed them!
