Granny Apple Crisp
August 3rd, 20071/4 cup old fashioned oats, chopped
2 Tbsps. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. all purpose flour
1 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup frozen unsweetened apple juice concentrate, thawed
1-1/4 lbs. Granny Smith apples, cored and cut into 1/2 inch thick slices
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preheat oven to temperature 400°F. Combine oats, brown sugar, and flour in a small bowl. Add butter and half the apple juice concentrate. Mix thoroughly and set aside. Combine apples, cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl. Add remaining apple concentrate and toss. Transfer apples to a shallow baking pan. Sprinkle oat mixture over apples. Bake 30-35 minutes or until top is brown.
