This pretty birthday invitation features 6 photos from the birthday girl’s life. For a unified look, we converted the small photos to black & white, although we can also convert them to sepia for you or leave them in the original color. The wording and colors are customizable to any age and you taste, and we can change the polka dots for a different pattern, if you wish.
1/2 cup apricot jam
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 small pork leg steaks, cubed
1 small red onion, cut into wedges
1 green apple, cored, cut into cubes
1/2 red capsicum/bell pepper, seeded, cut into cubes
8 bamboo skewers, soaked
In a shallow dish combine jam, vinegar, tomato paste and oil. Add pork, turning to coat. Allow to marinate for at least half an hour.
Thread pork, onion, apple and capsicum alternately onto pre-soaked skewers.
Heat frying pan or barbecue to medium. Brush lightly with oil. Cook kebabs for 10-15 minutes, turning, until cooked to taste. Serves 4.
