Yes, the little one and his duck were caught up on the counter (presumably after my mouse, which he insists is his personal plaything) with the perfect “uh-oh” look. He does delight in getting up on the counter with lightning fast precision, darting up using anything that is handy (including the cabinet shelves and doors if he can’t find anything else) and finding the forbidden items at the very top of the counter. The top of my fridge, an as-yet-unreachable place for the little one, is overflowing with forbidden items such as scissors, permanent markers, kitchen knives, sharp kitchen utensils, lighters, Mama’s purse and other such items. Now where to put everything else….

Ducky is to be blamed for these adventures, if you listen to the Lil’ Duck - after he is hauled down and duly punished, you will hear him muttering to Ducky: “No, no, Ducky, I said no counter, mama mad, mama say no, why do it?? Oh, Ducky, so sad, naughty ducky!”.

I’m waiting for Ducky to be given a time-out in his room or sat in the corner…. now that will be of great amusement to the mama duck. In the meantime, I’ll continue to look for higher places to stash things….
