If I had it to do over again, I would never have bought the thing. First of all, my child refused to eat for months after we bought it (at his 6 month birthday), then second of all, there are millions of cracks/crevices/etc where food seems to find a home. You could easily spend your life between meals cleaning it out, and still find dried food despite your best efforts. An upright chair (like FP’s 3 in 1 rocker/chair) or a booster seat (on the floor if you don’t have a dining room set) is a much cleaner and easier option.

As Lil’ Duck’s birthday is fast approaching, I thought I’d share a list of tips for photographing birthday parties which I found this morning on Darren’s Digital Photography School. My favorite tip is #2, which advises to get down low on the child’s eye level, something I often forget, especially in the hubbub of the party.
