Carnival of Family Life #49

April 9th, 2007

Welcome to the carnival toddler duckWelcome to Lil’ Duck Duck & the Carnival of Family Life #49!

Just a quick introduction for first-time visitors - Lil’ Duck Duck is a busy, inquisitive toddler; I am his mama, manager of the ducks. There is one particular stuffed duck that holds the highest place of honor in Lil’ Duck’s life, but he also loves all his other ducks too. When we aren’t writing about his adventures, we are working on our custom design product orders, creating new adventures & otherwise enjoying life!

This week’s carnival is loosely categorized, it would have been much better categorized, had not the entire Duck family come down with a nasty cold/ear infection bug yesterday, rendering us loopy with cold medicine and otherwise unable to categorize properly. Anyway….. (more…)

It’s Friday in busy Duck-land!

April 6th, 2007

Good morning! It’s Friday and we have many things we’d love to share with you, including the entire bottle of foamy soap that Lil’ Duck used to clean the bathroom yesterday (complete with photos), the opening of Easter gifts (many cute photos) & the many new designs that have been created for clients this week (which was the busiest week ever for business).

However, time is short and the little one is climbing me like a tree… so as a quick note, the Carnival of Family Life will be here, right here with all the ducks and craziness, bright and early Monday morning. If you haven’t submitted a family-related post yet, please do so through Blog Carnival, we have lots of great submissions already and would hate to miss out on  yours! If you missed Monday’s edition, it is right here at Play Library. Be sure to visit us on Monday and tell all your friends about the carnival at Duck-land!

(The adventures & photos mentioned above will be great blog fodder, so I’m hoping to write about them over the weekend, look for them in next week’s posts. If you aren’t subscribed to our RSS feed, you may do so here so you don’t miss a bit of the adventure!)

Carnival of the Vanities #206

August 30th, 2006

Welcome to Lil Duck Duck and the 206th Carnival of the Vanities! Thank you for joining our party today - the ducks have had a wonderful time hosting this carnival in the past and today is no exception! We had many wonderful submissions over several different categories, thank you for all your support and for keeping the oldest carnival alive. (more…)

Quick carnival links….

Christian Carnival

Carnival of the Vanities (nothing from us this week, but still great reading)

Friday reads….

August 18th, 2006

Brand-new this Friday - Carnival of the Mundane, hosted by the Random Yak himself! Definitely worth a read, he was kind enough to include us in the mix of amusing submissions!
Two carnivals that I should have posted on Wednesday, but still great reading:

Spooky Action: Carnival of the Vanities #204 - The Last Free-for-All

Storyblogging Carnival #51 - only 5 submissions, an easy read and appreciated by all!
Be sure to submit to all the carnivals (today ;)) - no Blogging Chicks carnival this week, but everyone else is up and about!

Catching up - carnivals, contests, links….

August 1st, 2006

I’m behind again…. here’s the carnivals featuring Lil Duck Duck this week:

The Storyblogging Carnival L - featuring The Joy of the Pool

Carnival of the Insanities - featuring the chocolate pudding, of course….

Carnival of Family Life (hosted by Everything Under the Moon) featured our favorite things, as did the Blogging Chicks carnival. Speaking of the Blogging Chicks, this Sunday’s carnival is open to all females, not just blogroll members. Write a post about why you love blogging, then send Michele a 1-2 line description of your post with the permalink and all that good stuff.

In other news…. ;) - Kelly at Pass the Torch has a contest going on, if you have young people in your life that demonstrate the fact the future of our world is in good hands, stop in and read all about it. According to Lil’ Duck, my future is messy and…. well….. messier, if you saw my house at the moment you would know what I mean. I know a lot of you have older children though, so this should be relevant to you ;).

Wendy also has her auditions going on today (not quite sure of the time difference if it is also tomorrow or not, but stop in today for sure - it’s fun and you might meet some new people (the ducks met a CAT earlier, hee hee hee)).

If you post on message boards and would like a free signature graphic or blinkie, stop by the Pixel Perfect board, register for free, and leave a request. I try to make over there when I have a free moment, but all the ladies are great and we love to see new faces!

I’m sure I forgot something…. if you remember, leave it in comments and I’ll add it eventually. Now I have to clean my house before it buries me in torn books, wooden puzzles & animal crackers!

Carnivals, awards, links, oh my!

Celebrating the Blogs of Summer
Ok, I’m very behind on mentioning all the great carnivals that featured Lil’ Duck Duck this week. I also had some links I wanted to post, then I saw that we were nominated for a Best of Summer award (thanks, David, now where’s my coffee?). So I’m making a post before we get even farther behind.

Now, for the Blogs of Summer. Click on the graphic, go nominate your favorite blogs (you know it’s us, just for our cute little ducks….. ;)), then get the button and blogroll for your own blog (I’m working on the blogroll, the code didn’t show in the post for me, it’ll be up soon)! Tour of Homes

Tour of Homes….. click on the graphic to participate, you have until next Friday (not tomorrow, I’m not THAT behind) to post your photos and get the word out. It looked like too much fun to pass up, plus I know you all want to see my red kitchen, red & green living room, blue and orange bathroom, and orange great room! Of course that means I have to clean…..
Carnivals - Today is the 200th Carnival of the Vanities, hosted by Accidental Verbosity and featuring our article - “The Drama of the Evil Soap“. I hope they had as much fun as when we hosted it…. hee hee.

The Carnival of Family Life also featured that article on Monday - lots of funny items in this carnival. The Storyblogging Carnival featured another article of ours as well.

Ok, I’m sure I’m missing something, but this fever has my brain feeling rather fried. If you haven’t already, check out our list of 13 cute things that the little guy is doing, then to balance that out, check out the chocolate pudding incident.

Carnival of the Blogging Chicks is up - Dream Theme

July 16th, 2006

Blogging Chicks Carnival Dream This edition of the Blogging Chicks carnival is particularly thought-provoking. There are some funny entries, like Gem’s, but mostly a lot of deep, thoughtful entries that will inspire you and give a great start to your week.

Be sure to check it out - I do regret not having time to submit to this edition (this post might explain that), although I did write something similar to this theme a while back - excellent reading and lots of great ladies. Be sure to join the blogroll if you haven’t already as well, we have over 200 ladies now and it’s a great source of traffic and community!
