Catching up - carnivals, contests, links….
August 1st, 2006I’m behind again…. here’s the carnivals featuring Lil Duck Duck this week:
The Storyblogging Carnival L - featuring The Joy of the Pool
Carnival of the Insanities - featuring the chocolate pudding, of course….
Carnival of Family Life (hosted by Everything Under the Moon) featured our favorite things, as did the Blogging Chicks carnival. Speaking of the Blogging Chicks, this Sunday’s carnival is open to all females, not just blogroll members. Write a post about why you love blogging, then send Michele a 1-2 line description of your post with the permalink and all that good stuff.
In other news….
- Kelly at Pass the Torch has a contest going on, if you have young people in your life that demonstrate the fact the future of our world is in good hands, stop in and read all about it. According to Lil’ Duck, my future is messy and…. well….. messier, if you saw my house at the moment you would know what I mean. I know a lot of you have older children though, so this should be relevant to you ;).
Wendy also has her auditions going on today (not quite sure of the time difference if it is also tomorrow or not, but stop in today for sure - it’s fun and you might meet some new people (the ducks met a CAT earlier, hee hee hee)).
If you post on message boards and would like a free signature graphic or blinkie, stop by the Pixel Perfect board, register for free, and leave a request. I try to make over there when I have a free moment, but all the ladies are great and we love to see new faces!
I’m sure I forgot something…. if you remember, leave it in comments and I’ll add it eventually. Now I have to clean my house before it buries me in torn books, wooden puzzles & animal crackers!

Thanks for mentioning the Pass the Torch Award, Lisa!
Wow, Duck Duck…Now I feel badly for responding to you so aggressively when you said I was funny despite the fact I was a cat.
I didn’t know Lil’ Duck was a beautiful, beautiful, precious baby!
I’m retracting my claws now.
By the way, The Wendster sent me.
Great to see over at the auditions!
Hey, if you want to host the Carnival at your blog, I think the last date in August is available. I’ll check and let you know.
Sure, just let me know, that should be fine! We did the Carnival of the Vanities a while back and had a blast - I imagine the Family Life doesn’t get slammed with traffic like COTV did tho, I had the insta-lanche going on with my little blog that normally got only about 50-100 visitors a day at that time, ha ha ha.
Thanks for visiting my site the other day. Just now getting around to posting in response to my comments.
WOW! You are one busy mama duck! Prancing and dancing all OVER the blogosphere! I will have to check out a few of these carnivals! Good luck with the Curtain Call — you’re doing GREAT!
Ducks and two cats. Funny. :0
Back from Wendys’
Wendy sent me again, Duckie!
I haven’t really gotten involved in the carnivals since I began blogging only four months ago. I’m not sure there is a carnival set up for a blog like mine. I know there is a carnival of the cats somewhere so perhaps I could start with that one!
Hi Mama Duck and Lil Duck….nice to see you at the auditions.
I’ll have to check out the Carnivals……
[blows kiss to Lil Duck]

Oh…messy house…. I’m a stay-at-home-mom, and my house is always a disaster….I think the hubby thinks I’m being lazy. But…if he only knew what I do all day!!!
Thanks for visiting my blog. You’re so busy here. I’ll have to check out some of those sites you’ve linked in your post.
LOL! Does this mean I’ve done WW and Wendy’s blogroll on these two visits! I hope didn’t yell at him, you know he’s just too Cute!
Wow! Lots of stuff to go check out.
