Birthday cake!

September 7th, 2006

Well, last year he was still unsure about real food, and wanted nothing to do with his birthday cupcake:

Last year birthday

So I have been looking forward to this year ever since he split a piece of chocolate cake with Daddy and declared it “yummy, CAKE!!” I bought him a real chocolate cake this year:

He was amazed by the candles and by the singing, just ear-to-ear smiles. Trying to show him how to blow out his candles wasn’t quite a success, but he just wanted them out so he could eat that cake!

Yummy, cake

It’s amazing how much he has grown in a year and how sweet he is still, we love every minute with him and can’t wait to see what this next year will hold!

Definitely a chocoholic. Reminds me of my son’s (he’s now 24) first encounter with chocolate cake!

Wow. The Duck is very clean for 2. At our kids’ second b-day, the cake was sitting close to the edge of the table. Pookie walked up and started eating the side of the cake….and, no, he didn’t use his hand. Just plopped his face right in the side while standing next to the table.

You must be doing something right over there :)

    Yeah! His first birthday cake!

I remember when Girlie Girl turned 2. We got a mini sized cake, put it in front of her, and let her go! It was hilarious!

SOOOOO cute! My son hated cake and ice cream when he was one as well. we had to give in and give him canned peaches instead of his birthday cake. LOL
