13 occurrences of our crazy week…
- One bed full of Lucky Charms, stolen from the cabinet, then slept on by the little one, while he sweated just enough to adhere them to himself to become the world’s largest walking Lucky Charm…
- One swollen, broken & purple toe of the Mama Duck, caused by the 10 lb. dumbbell dragged out of the closet and left under a few pieces of laundry by the little one, waiting to attack Mama Duck’s innocent feet.
- Many spontaneous hugs, kisses & unprompted “I love you, Mama”s from the sweet little boy.
- Record-breaking amounts of orders for our custom design products, keeping us very happy & very busy
. - The ever-increasing love of stickers by the Lil’ Duck, which not only means hearing “Stick this one on me here, Mama, this one please now” countless times a day, but also means peeling random stickers off all sorts of odd places in my house.
- A chastising of the Daddy Creature by the little one, complete with finger shaking – “That isn’t very nice, Daddy, you shouldn’t do that, that’s not very nice AT ALL”.
- The introduction of a new hairdryer into our household this week added much trauma to the little one’s world, as he is “SCARED” of it, but will offer up Ducky who “loves it because it is Ducky’s friend, she loves Hairdryer”. I think it’s just a ploy to distract Mr. Hairdryer from eating the toddler, he can escape while Hairdryer is busy with Ducky…
- A birthday celebration for Mama Duck last week, complete with Lil’ Duck asking all day, every day to go get “more birthday party cake for you, we sing, I blow out your candles, then I eat your cake, Mommy”.
- A journey to Starbucks this week (a bribe for behaving at the dreaded post office) resulted in a newfound love for blueberry muffins, thereby dubbed “um….. beddy muffins!” by the little one, who ate a whole one after being faced with the tragedy that was NO PUMPKIN LOAF at the ever-loved Starbucks.
- Mama Duck getting dressed up for a Mother’s Day tea prompted the little one to exclaim, upon seeing my dress shoes, “You’re wearing GRANDMA’S shoes, Mama, those are GRANDMA’s pretty shoes!” as he proceeded to swipe them and prance around in them
. - There is a MONSTER in his closet, also one in our closet. A great big monster that apparently only threatens when the door is open, it is dark, or he is alone. Not the friendly kind of monster, either.
- Wow, Wow, Wubsy, Wubsy, Wubsy, Wow Wow is either going to drive Mama Duck crazy or endlessly entertain the little one. Whomever created that show was definitely on something.
- Sleep. Must Sleep. Need more Sleep.

Oh, your poor toe!
And yeah, why aren’t there any pictures of the giant Lucky Charm? What sort of mom are you that you don’t grab your camera at those times? *grin*
