I brought a drum that you put around your neck and play with both hands on either side of it for Billy once Daniel loves it

Neat list. How about one of these, too? Can learn to make real music pretty easily with a recorder–at very young ages. Buy several so you can play along and learn together, if you’ve not played a recorder before. And the skillset translates very well to other instruments as time goes on.

Yeh, yeh, for Lil Duck’s age, it may be very, very slightly advanced, but things that are real musical instruments can be fun, too. The site linked also has real (Kodaly-type) percussion and other instruments suitable for young children. Or, do like my mom did: bring out the pots n pans and spoons and such. Save oatmeal boxes and other things you and lil Duck can make musical instruments of together, etc.

    All kindsa fun!

The FP piano has always been a hit at our house. I don’t know how loud it is, but the SS Boom Box sounds like something the baby would love!

As a child I loved the sound of marbles as they rubbed each other in my marble bag.

Nice list. I don’t mind the toys that make noise. My TT is up, too. I’d love it if you stopped by.

Yes, I thought quiet toys were the best for parents. :) But I’m all for musical kids. Cuz I was one. :)

Ah, my son had that Leap Pad Drum. It was so cute, but that little voice “A says a, and….” got into my head too much. It’s there now! Thank you so much! :)

These are great lists of toys. The fischer price toys are very sturdy. My grandson has several fischer price toys and withstands all the beatings being received from my grandson. Fischer price toys are really expensive.
    My T13 is up too.
